Goldenrod Bakery is a small artisan sourdough operation based in Wilmington, MA. We collect a little information from you so we can take your order, get it ready, and let you know when it's time for pickup. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
If anything is unclear, email us at hello@goldenrod-bakery.com.
Who operates this service
Goldenrod Bakery is operated by KED LLC. KED LLC is the entity that runs this website, processes orders, and is the registered sender of record for our SMS communications. When this policy refers to “we” or “us,” it means KED LLC doing business as Goldenrod Bakery.
Information we collect
- Order info: your name, email, phone number, the items you order, and the drop / pickup window you select.
- Payment info: processed entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number — Stripe handles all payment data.
- Drop-reminder signups: if you sign up to be reminded about upcoming drops, we save your email and (optionally, if you opt into SMS reminders) your phone number and name.
- Reviews: if you submit a review, we save the name and rating you provide along with your message.
- Session data: we use browser storage to remember items in your cart between page loads. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics that follow you around the web.
How we use your information
- To take and prepare your order.
- To send you order confirmations and let you know when your order is ready for pickup (via email or SMS, per the channel you chose at checkout).
- To send you reminders about upcoming drops, if you asked for them.
- To improve our products and service.
SMS messaging
When you check the SMS box at checkout (or on a drop-reminder signup), you're opting in to receive text messages from Goldenrod Bakery related to your order or the drop you signed up for. SMS consent is optional and is not required to buy from us.
What we send
- Order confirmations when you place an order.
- A “your order is ready” text at pickup time.
- Drop reminders or drop-list updates when a drop you signed up for is opening soon or available.
How often
Message frequency varies. Typically 1-3 messages per order, one confirmation when you join the drop list, and occasional drop-list updates or reminders for drops you requested. We don't send unrelated marketing blasts.
Opting out
Reply STOP to any of our messages and we'll stop sending you SMS immediately. You'll still get email updates about any orders or reminders you signed up for. To get help, reply HELP or email us at hello@goldenrod-bakery.com.
