These are the terms that apply when you visit the Goldenrod Bakery website and place an order. By using the site or ordering, you're agreeing to these terms. If something here doesn't work for you, email us at hello@goldenrod-bakery.com before placing your order.
Who provides this service
Goldenrod Bakery is the bakery and seller. KED LLC provides the software services that power this website, online ordering, payment processing, and related SMS communications. When these terms refer to “we” or “us,” they mean Goldenrod Bakery and, where applicable to the website and online services, KED LLC.
How orders work
We bake in small batches and sell pre-orders for pickup at scheduled “drops.” When you place an order:
- You'll get a confirmation right after you check out, via email or SMS (whichever you chose).
- We'll send a “your order is ready” message during your pickup window.
- Please arrive within the pickup window listed for your drop.
Payment
Payment happens at checkout, processed by Stripe. The total shown at checkout is the total — there are no surprise fees. Sales tax is applied where required by Massachusetts law.
Refunds & cancellations
Because we bake to order in small batches, all sales are final once preparation begins. That said, we're not robots — if something goes wrong with your order or your plans change, email us at hello@goldenrod-bakery.com and we'll work with you.
Goldenrod Stars
Goldenrod Stars is our phone-linked loyalty program. A verified customer account earns one Star for each whole dollar actually paid on an eligible order, rounded down separately for each order. Discounts and refunds reduce the eligible amount. We may also award bonus Stars for clearly described challenges or referral offers.
- Stars are linked to the verified phone number used for the order and have no cash value. They cannot be sold or transferred between customers.
- Available rewards, their Star cost, eligible products, and other conditions are shown before redemption. Reward types and future offers may change, but a completed redemption will be honored under the terms shown when it was used.
- Unless a reward says otherwise, only one Stars reward may be used per order and it cannot be combined with another Stars reward.
- Stars reserved for an abandoned or expired checkout are returned automatically. Stars redeemed on a completed order are returned if that order is later cancelled or fully refunded, but not for a partial refund. Stars earned on a later cancelled or refunded order are reversed; if they were already spent, new earnings first restore that negative ledger balance.
- Stars do not expire at launch. If that policy changes, we will update these terms before applying a future expiration rule.
- Referral and challenge awards are limited to genuine, qualifying activity. We may deny or reverse duplicate, self-referred, fraudulent, or otherwise abusive awards.
Historical eligible orders may receive Stars when we launch or reconcile the program. Operational order and loyalty-ledger records may be retained after an app account is deleted where needed for refunds, fraud prevention, accounting, or program integrity.
SMS communications
By providing your phone number AND checking the SMS opt-in box, you consent to receive text messages from us about your order or any drop reminders you signed up for.
- SMS consent is optional and is not required to buy from us.
- Message frequency varies. Typical frequency is 1-3 messages per order, one confirmation when you join the drop list, and occasional drop-list updates or reminders for drops you requested.
- Reply STOP to any message to opt out.

- Message and data rates may apply.
- Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
We do not sell, rent, or share mobile information or SMS opt-in consent with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Limitation of liability
We do our best to deliver fresh bread on time and as described. That said, our total liability for any issue related to an order is limited to the amount you paid for that order. We're not liable for indirect or consequential damages.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any disputes will be handled in Massachusetts courts.
Changes
We may update these terms over time. The “Last updated” date at the top will reflect the most recent version. Continued use of the site or placing a new order means you accept the current terms.
